Denver Nuggets put the final nail in the Lakers' coffin by completing a historic sweep to advance to the NBA Finals.
LeBron James and the Lakers did as much as they could and went as far as they can but bowed out in disappointing fashion to an incredibly talented Denver Nuggets team led by the excellent Nikola Jokic.
Nuggets sweep Lakers to advance
LeBron finished with 40 points but even that wasn't enough to help the Purple and Gold avoid the sweep.
Jokic turned in yet another triple-double Monday night to help the Nuggets complete their first playoff sweep in franchise history with a 113-111 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena.
For Jokic's remarkable performance, he was named the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP.
LeBron on the other hand had never been swept before the NBA Finals in his career but under the bright lights and in front of the Lakers fans, they had no answer for Denver.
The Nuggets now wait for the winner of the Miami Heat vs Celtics series, with the Heat holding a 3-0 lead.
