Nigeria's D'Tigress and their quest to make more history in the Paris 2024 Olympics against the USA has received strong backing from an American basketball legend.

Nigeria's women's basketball team, the D'Tigress, have received a massive boost from NBA legend Dwayne Wade ahead of their historic quarterfinal clash against the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The African champions have already made history by becoming the first-ever male or female team from the continent to reach the quarterfinals of the Olympic basketball tournament. 

They achieved this feat after stunning world No. 5 Canada 79-70 in their final group match.

With their confidence soaring, the D'Tigress now face the daunting task of taking on the multiple-defending champions, the USA, in the last eight.

However, they have received a ringing endorsement from one of basketball's all-time greats, Dwayne Wade.

The former Miami Heat star took to social media to congratulate the Nigerian team on their stunning win over Canada, stating, "Congrats, now I see why y'all so confident."
