The Milwaukee Bucks recorded a 123-115 victory against the Miami Heat in an NBA fixture played in the early hours of Sunday, February 5, 2023.
The battle between the Eastern Conference rivals was intense with physicality displayed by both sides.
Led by Greek-Nigerian professional basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo the Bucks took the first quarter by eight points.
The Miami Heat bounced back in the second quarter to wipe out the Bucks advantage.
After an entertaining half of high-quality basketball, both sides went to the break level.
The third quarter was close but the Bucks produced a late run to take a two-point advantage.
In the fourth quarter, the Bucks were able to gain separation coming back from several runs by the Heat to hold on for an eight-point victory.
Antetokoumpo outduels Adebayo
It was a battle of two bigs of Nigerian descent as Antetoukoumpo featured for the Bucks and Adebayo for the Heat.
Antetokoumpo in 36 minutes, recorded a triple-double with 35 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists.
He also has one block and one steal making an efficient 13 of 19 from the field but struggled at the free throw line with nine of 16.
Adebayo struggled to contain Antetokoumpo and was not much of a difference-maker for the Heat on the offensive end.
He was in action for 36 minutes contributing 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists missing out on a triple-double.
He switched out to the perimeter a lot recording two steals and shot seven of 15 from the field.
Nigerian basketball star Gabe Vincent also featured for the Heat in the loss contributing seven points three rebounds and three steals.
Antetokoumpo has now inspired the Bucks to seven straight victories as they return to action against the Portland TrailBlazers on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
