Days after his first NBA championship and a record-breaking contract extension, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum, has been unveiled as the cover star for NBA 2K25.
This announcement marks a significant milestone in Tatum's career, solidifying his status as one of the faces of the league.
Tatum will feature prominently on the standard edition of NBA 2K25, set to be released on December 26, as the 26-year-old St.Louis native who is expecting his first child sign girlfiend and R&B singer Ella Mai, joins an illustrious list of athletes who have graced the cover of 2K’s iconic basketball video game series.

Meanwhile, NBA legend Vince Carter covers the "Hall of Fame Edition," with a timeless image from his iconic 2000 NBA Dunk Contest performance.
Reflecting on this honour, Tatum expressed his gratitude and excitement in a press release, stating,
"It's an honor to be named a cover athlete for NBA 2K25. I've been playing NBA 2K since I was a kid, and it's been a dream to one day be on the cover."
Tatum, who is currently training with Team USA for another run at Olympic gold in Paris later this summer becomes the third Celtics player to be featured on the cover of a 2K game.
Kevin Garnett was the first when he was on the cover of NBA 2K9.
Larry Bird was one of three cover athletes for NBA 2K12, along with Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.
And Antione Walker also appeared on the cover of NBA Live in 1999.
