Nigeria's Jordan Nwora continues to blend with the Pacers, impressive in the win against the Thunder.
The Indiana Pacers recorded a 121-117 victory at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the early hours of Saturday, April 1, 2023.
The Pacers kept their hopes for a playoff push with a fast start putting up 36 points to establish a four-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
Both teams in their offense rhythm produced 29 points apiece as the Pacers took a four-point lead to the halftime break.
Led by all-star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander the Thunder came back into the game with 33 points in the third quarter to go up by four.
TJ McConnell made clutch buckets in the fourth quarter as the Pacers responded to adversity to bounce back in the fourth quarter for a narrow four-point victory.
Jordan Nwora shows off versatility as the Pacers beat the Thunder
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Jordan Ifeanyi Nwora continued his good form for the Pacers in the victory against the Thunder.
Pacers Head Coach Rick Carlisle named Nwora in the starting line up against the Thunder.
The 24-year-old put up 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and contributed six assists and one block to the Pacers' first victory in four games.
The former Louisville Cardinal star made six of his 14 shots, was one of six from three-point range, and did not attempt any free throws.
In 30 minutes of action, Nwora was a negative 15 struggling on the defensive end of the floor.
Nwora was however pivotal on the offensive end of the floor with his points, spacing as well as dishing out a career-high assists since he joined the Pacers.
It was an all-around complete productive game for Nwora and he utilized all his tools to fill out the stat sheet.
Jordan Nwora continues to blend with the Pacers
Nwora was traded to the Pacers from the Milwaukee Bucks on the deadline transfer day.
Since his move, Nwora started off as an end-of-the-bench player on the rotation with the second unit.
He has however put in impressive performances to establish himself as a key player with the team as they battle for a place in the play-in.
Nwora recently inspired the Pacers to a revenge victory away against his former side the Bucks.
