Okogie continues his fine form as the Phoenix Suns beat the Indiana Pacers.

The Phoenix Suns recorded a 117-104 victory away against the Indiana Pacers in an NBA fixture played in the early hours of Saturay, February 11, 2023.

The Suns were on the second night of a back to back after a loss a day before to the Trae Young-inspired Atalanta Hawks.

The Suns welcomed back All-Star Devin Booker from injury after a massive trade to land Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Suns led by Chris Paul established a six-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

They continued to dominate the game making open shots from three and stretching their lead to 13 points at the end of the second quarter.

Coming back from the halftime break, the Suns were still in control as the lead grew to 18 at the end of the third quarter.

The Pacers dominated a fourth quarter that featured the bench unit of the Suns.

The Suns held on to take a 13-point victory as they wrap up a three-game road trip against Eastern Conference teams.

Speaking after the game, Suns Head Coach Monty Williams praised the poise of the team to bounce back from defeat less than 24 hours ago.

He said, "You could feel it. And so I knew we were going to come out with a level of force tonight that would allow us to play the kind of basketball that we know we can play."

Nigerian Ameican basketball star Josh Okogie played a pivotal role for the Suns in the victory against the Pacers. 

After scoring 25 points off the bench in the loss against the Hawks, Suns head coach Williams inserted Okogie into the starting line up for the game against the Pacers.

The D'Tigers star featured for 36 minutes and contributed 17 points, six rebounds, and three steals.

He was a massive defensive presence and made five of his 10 shots including three of five from the three point line and four of six from the free throw line.

Okogie will now return to the Suns when they take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
