NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves sends Karl-Anthony Towns to New York Knicks for Julius Randle
Karl-Anthony Towns leaves the Minnesota Timberwolves for the New York Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.
LeBron will wear the purple and gold number 23, and Bronny will wear the number 9.
Bronny made his USC debut in December after suffering a heart crisis in July. In 25 games last season, he averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds.
He claimed he didn't leave USC after one season with the intention of playing with his well-known father, even though he undoubtedly would have benefitted from at least one more year in college.
In the 2008 NBA Draft, the Lakers selected him with the 55th choice and awarded him a four-year contract worth $7.9 million—a very unusual deal considering the pick's position.
After that, LeBron agreed to a $104 million, two-year contract with the Lakers.
The two could play together as soon as this Friday when the Lakers host the redesigned Minnesota Timberwolves in an exhibition game.
The Timberwolves recently traded Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.
The Lakers host the Wolves on October 22 to kick off the regular season.
