To begin the season, Davis has scored at least 30 points in three consecutive games.

The Lakers turned to the James-Davis two-man game after the Kings rallied to cut the lead to 125-123 with less than 56 seconds remaining.

After losing the previous five meetings, Saturday marked the Lakers' first victory over the Kings since January 7, 2023.

Rui Hachimura maintained his impressive start to the season with 18 points and nine rebounds in 37 minutes, as all five of the Lakers' starters scored in double figures.

D'Angelo Russell contributed 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while Austin Reaves finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

With a triple-double of 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, Domantas Sabonis led the Kings while De'Aaron Fox finished with a double-double of 10 assists and 28 points.

In an offseason sign-and-trade, the Kings acquired DeMar DeRozan from the Chicago Bulls, and he scored 23 points.

The Lakers will now travel to Phoenix for five games, stopping in Cleveland, Toronto, Detroit, and Memphis before heading back to Los Angeles.
