By the end of the third quarter, Germany had a 71-68 lead, but James motivated the US to win.
With one minute and 26 seconds remaining, he made a three-pointer to put the USA ahead 90-86. He then added two more baskets to give them a 92-86 lead and the victory.

This comes after the United States defeated South Sudan 101-100 in London, overcoming a 16-point deficit to avert one of the largest upsets in basketball history.
With eight seconds remaining, LeBron James made a clutch layup to give his team a one-point lead as South Sudan was unable to score a late game-winner.

The twelve-member American men's basketball team, which includes some of the best players in the NBA, is aiming for a sixth straight gold medal in the sport this summer in Paris.
