The Kampala University Lady Eagles will look to bounce back from their defeat against the Magic Stormers and defeat the Angels in their upcoming match-up on Sunday.
In a match that pits eighth against ninth, both teams have losing records at this stage in the season and will hope to get out of their slump.
Lady Eagles head coach Joe Mashereka is optimistic about his side getting better despite the season's slow start. "We have gradually gotten better during this season despite the results, there is no panic, and I believe we will shock a few come the second round," Mashereka told Pulse Sports.
The Lady Eagles have the league's best scorer in their ranks as Margaret Baagala continues to gather attention from everyone associated with Ugandan Basketball.
She is currently averaging a league-high 25 points per game while scoring 18 points in her last match in the defeat against the Stormers.
When asked about her impressive start to the season, Mashereka says that he is impressed by her performance and believes that she can even get better.
"She has begun the season well, and I hope she can get even better as her potential has a high ceiling," Mashereka added.
Their opponents, the Angels basketball club, are in ninth place with an abysmal record of 1-6 to start their opening seven games of the season. They lost their last game against the Nabisunsa Girls Basketball Club, 63-50 and will be desperate to grab their second win.
