The men's basketball national team has named 30 players in their provisional squad for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers as they unveiled their new Australian head coach.
A provisional squad of 30 players has been unveiled as the national basketball team alias Kenya Morans gear up for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers scheduled for next month.
The players will commence training next week with the hope of sharpening their talons before locking horns with some of Africa’s finest. The new coach, Australian Grant Wallace has also been appointed as the head coach of the Kenya Morans.

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) women's basketball team secures silver in the inaugural Africa Women's Basketball League.
The Australian tactician will reportedly arrive in the country early next month to join the Kenya Morans technical bench including Cliff Owuor, Ancette Wafula, and Harrison Kaudia.

Meanwhile, the 30-man squad comprises 13 players from the diaspora with 12 players being selected from Nairobi City Thunder. Equity Bank’s Victor Bosire will captain the team while Desmond Owili from Australia and Joel Awich from France will act as assistant captains in the team.
