After the first round of qualifiers, D'Tigers have now explained the difficulty of getting a good start.
The team pulled out of the qualification series because of funds and only opted in after intervention by the Federal Government.
Speaking after the first round of qualifiers, Bright Osagie Akhuetie said, "Coming out here even without practicing.

"We have to structure and prepare as a team.
"Imagine if we stayed together for a month. we would've done better."
D'Tigers now have to win all three qualification games in November if they are to qualify for the 2025 Afrobasket.
