The Phoenix Suns' season came to an end at home in an elimination game in the Western Conference playoffs for the second year in a row.
And it wasn't really close for the second year in a row as the Suns were destroyed by the Nuggets in front of their home fans.
Early on Friday, May 12 at the Footprint Center, the Suns were thoroughly defeated by the Nuggets in Game 6 of their NBA Playoffs series, dropping the semifinals series 4-2.
In Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs' second round, Phoenix suffered a humiliating loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Nuggets led the Suns by 30 points at the half and as much as 32 points during the contest.
The Nuggets also received 26 points from Jamal Murray and 21 points from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Nikola Jokic led the team with 32 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds and was a dominant force throughout the game.
Cameron Payne led the Suns with 31 points. Devin Booker scored just 12, while Kevin Durant scored 23.
For the Suns, who have a new owner and very high hopes, the offseason will be filled with uncertainties.
Those hopes weren't fulfilled as the team fell to the Nuggets in the Western Conference playoffs after six games.
