Nigeria's senior women's national basketball team known as D'Tigress suffered a 75-54 loss to France in their second game at the 2024 Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament in Paris.

Nigeria had virtually kept up with their opponents for the majority of the first half because to their characteristic bravery and aggressive play.

But when France shut down D'Tigress' offensive entirely and limited them to single digits at just 8 points in the third quarter, the wheels came off for the team.

In this game, France's depth was crucial—at least when compared to Nigeria, anyway.

With the hosts scoring 37 points and their opponents scoring just 9, there was a significant disparity in bench scoring.

Nigeria had a great start and had to work hard to contain the damage as fatigue set in.

However, as the game progressed, they simply wilted due to turning the ball over on several occasions.

When D'Tigress plays Canada in the last Group match, they have everything to play for.

In the other group match, Australia responded to their opening-round defeat at the 2024 Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament by defeating Canada 70-65 to secure their first win.
