After the loss to the USA, thanks to a Nikola Jokic triple-double Serbia beat Germany to pick up Paris 2024 Olympic Bronze medal.

Two days following their heartbreaking defeat to the Americans in an Olympic semifinal that will go down in history, Serbia defeated Germany 93-83 in the bronze-medal game on Saturday, led by three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokić.

The Denver Nuggets star Jokić concluded with a triple-double (19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists), demonstrating his dominance once again.

The Serbian squad captain and Atlanta Hawks player, Bogdan Bogdanović, finished with 16 points while Vasilije Micić, a guard from Serbia, added 19 points as well.

Just as demonstrated against Team USA, the Serbian basketball team demonstrated to the global basketball community that they possess one of the world's top programs.

Since winning silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Serbia has not placed higher in an Olympic competition until now with the bronze.

Having trailed the Americans by 17 points at halftime and 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, Serbia will undoubtedly feel the sting of having let the gold slip away.

The competition came to an abrupt end for the Germans, who had spent the first part of it looking like a serious contender for the gold medal.

They appeared destined to, at the very least, win the nation's first men's basketball Olympic medal, having just come off of their first-ever FIBA World Cup victory.

However, they lost to France (73-69) in the semifinals, ending a 12-game winning run in international competitions.
