The Celtics, Wizards and Grizzlies involved in 3-team trade before NBA Draft.

The Celtics, Wizards, and Grizzlies recently made a huge transaction that includes Tyus Jones, Marcus Smart, and Kristaps Porzingis.

In 65 games for the Wizards last season, Kristaps Porzingis averaged a career-high 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks.

Another player is apparently on the way out as the Washington Wizards' offseason of change continues.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics will receive forward Kristaps Porzingis as part of a three-team trade.

In exchange for Tyus Jones from the Memphis Grizzlies, Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala from the Celtics, and Porzingis' agreement to opt into his contract before being sent to Boston, the Washington Wizards received Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala.

While the Grizzlies would send the Celtics their 25th pick in this year's Draft and a 2024 first-round pick via the Golden State Warriors, the Grizzlies would obtain Marcus Smart from the Celtics.

In 32.6 minutes per game during the previous season, Porzingis averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks.

After a series of injuries robbed him of consistency over the previous three seasons, he participated in 65 games, his most since a 66-game run with the New York Knicks in 2016–17, and was healthy.

Porzingis will join a talented group in Boston that includes shot-blocking center Robert Williams, All-NBA performers Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and All-NBA performer Kristaps Porzingis.

The Celtics got to the Eastern Conference Semifinals and were able to force a Game 7 against the Miami Heat.
