Victor Wembanyama propelled the Spurs to beat the Kings in a Western Conference match-up.

At Golden 1 Center, the Sacramento Kings lost 127-125 to the San Antonio Spurs despite DeMar DeRozan's injury return and Malik Monk's return into the starting lineup.

For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama finished with 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists, recording a monster triple-double.

For the Kings, who led by as many as 17 points in the first quarter before blowing a significant lead, DeRozan finished with 28 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.

After his injury return, Devin Vassell had a good outing, scoring 21 points and making crucial baskets in the fourth quarter.

Demar DeRozan's mid-range clutch play in the fourth quarter kept the Kings in the game despite the Spurs' late charge, while Chris Paul also made plays in the closing minutes.

The Spurs will go to Phoenix on Tuesday in an attempt to defeat the Suns and earn a berth in the NBA Cup knockout round.

The Kings' next game is a home game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.
