American professional basketball player of Nigerian descent, Arike Ogunbowale, continues to excel in the WNBA.
Ogunbowale was in action as the Seattle Storm defeated the Dallas Wings 109-103 in a WNBA regular season fixture.
It was a close encounter between the two sides that went down to the final seconds of the game.
Seattle improved to 3-4 and Dallas is now 3-2 in a game that was part of the Commissioner’s Cup series.
Arike Ogunbowale drops career-high for Dallas Wings
Ogunbowle put up a performance for the ages and was celebrated by the WNBA despite the loss.
The 26-year-old scored 41 points, which was a career-high and the most she has contributed since she joined the WNBA.
In a game against the Storm, Ogunbowale had a career-high 41 points and shot an astounding 54.2% from the field.
She connected on 13 of 24 field goal attempts, including 7 of 14 from beyond the arc, and 8 of 8 free throws.
It has been an incredible season so far for Ogunbowale as she recently won the WNBA Player of the Month Award.
