Boxing superstars Ryan Garcia and Gervonta "Tank" Davis arse set to meet in a super fight scheduled for Las Vegas.
After several years of dispute, Davis and Garcia finally put pen to paper to land the first mega-fight of 2023.
The fight between Garcia and Davis was officially confirmed by both stars on Friday, February 24, 2023.
The fight was initially set for April 15 as both sides took so much time ironing out revisions to their contracts.
One of the biggest fights in boxing is now officially on the schedule as issues have been resolved and put fighters have put pen to paper on their contracts.
The venue of the fight is still yet to be announced but both fighters greed to push the fight a week back to help with the promotion.
Garcia vs Davis
Conversations about a fight between Garcia and Davis started as far back as November last year.
It was expected that both fighters would take to the ring for a tune-up before the mega match-up.
Davis returned to the ring to knock out Hector Luis on January 8, 2023, and accused Garcia of using performance-enhancing drugs in now-deleted tweets.
Garcia insisted on getting the fight ready as soon as possible as he turned down the possibility of a tune-up fight.
Garcia was last in the ring as far back as July 2022 when he knocked out Javier Fortuna and now needs to put in massive work as he faces Davis without a fight in nine months.
The fight between Davis and Garcia will be at a Catchweight division of 136lbs as agreed upon in the contracts.
It is set for Las Vegas on Saturday, April 22nd available on Showtime Pay-Per-View and DAZN.
