'Write him off at your peril' - Hearn says Joshua is coming back with vengeance.
British-born professional boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua is set to return to the ring in April.
The 33-year-old Joshua was last in the ring when he suffered a decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia back in 2022.
Usyk stripped Joshua of the WBA, IBO, IBF, and WBO heavyweight in London back in 2021 and was able to repeat his heroics in the rematch.
Joshua has since taken a break from the sport ahead of his return in 2023.
Hearn on Joshua
Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom boxing explained his process to return to being among the best in the world.
According to Hearn, Joshua has fought the best since he became champion and deserves credit for doing so.
He also explained that Joshua is motivated with criticism as he begins a tour for vengeance.
Hearn said, "Get ready for the return of Anthony Joshua. He has gone on a run where he is beating Charles Martin, Molina, Breazele, Klitcsko, Parker, Povetkin, Takam and Ruiz.
"With no breaks no easy nights right he comes off the back of two fights, one good fight with Usyk and one fight where he was dominated.
"He's fought the pound for pound number one back to back twice, the disrespect On this man's name is unbelievable and I don't care at the end of the day but what I'm telling you people that want to downplay his achievements.
"People that want to say he's finished in the sport get ready for the return of Anthony Joshua on April the first."
Hearn explained that Joshua is preparing for his return to the ring in 2023.
He stated that Jermaine Franklin is next in line for Joshua as the first is set to be made.
"This guy right now is out there he's in Texas he's working and grinding every day.
"This guy's got money in the bank, he's got world championship belts on the wall he don't care for either of them.
"He cares for the sport of boxing, he cares for regaining his world heavyweight title
"He's coming back with vengeance. This guy is a fine young man that is about to make an assault on the world heavyweight title again.
"I'm so excited I'm more excited than when this journey began."
Joshua is expected to return against Franklin on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
