According to Froch, Nigeria's Anthony Joshua should not have won Olympic Gold in 2012.

British professional boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Olufemi Joshua, is under fire again for his achievements.

The latest criticism of Joshua is about his winning a Gold medal in the men's Superheavyweight boxing event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Joshua has been the subject of a lot of recent criticism from Carl Froch, who now believes that Joshua never should have won the Olympic gold medal in London.

Joshua's career was launched by that historic victory over ten years ago, and despite having little amateur experience, it continues to be a pivotal point in his life.

Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine defeated Joshua twice, despite the fact that Joshua had quickly fought his way to the top of the division and three world titles.

The Nottingham boxer recently claimed on Up Front With Simon Jordan that Joshua has "over-achieved" in his career and that he thinks Joshua dropped the first match of his gold medal run back in 2012.

He said, “Fair play to [Joshua,] that’s not a criticism, he’s over-achieved.

"He’s won an Olympic Gold medal when many people, not just me, thought he lost his first fight against a Cuban.

"Then he won a very close fight against an Italian – he won on a countback, on a split decision. Fair play to him, he’s then turned professional with limited amateur experience and he’s had a fantastic career.”

At the time, many people were perplexed by Joshua's victory over Cuban Erislandy Savón (17:16), and some even referred to it as a "home decision robbery/"  

In the final, Joshua defeated Roberto Cammarelle to win the gold.
