Anthony Joshua: Nigerian boxer out till May 2025
According to Eddie Hearn, Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua cannot fight until May 2025.
Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion was knocked out at Wembley Stadium in September, failing to win the IBF title from Dubois.
Dubois is scheduled to defend his championship against Joseph Parker in February, but Joshua has been connected to a rematch with him.
On December 21, seven months after their first bout, Fury and Usyk will square off for the unified titles.
After Usyk's victory in May, he renounced the IBF title, elevating interim champion Dubois to the position of champion.
The WBC has agreed to sanction an interim title battle between Zhilei Zhang and Agit Kabayel, but the Ukrainian will defend the remaining major belts, including the WBC gold, against Fury.
Additionally, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman stated that Joshua might challenge the victor of the fight between Zhang and Kabayel.
Sulaiman gave a positive response when asked if Joshua ranked sixth by the WBC might fight the winner of Zhang vs Kabayel.
