Fans reaction to Fury's comment
Fury’s comment after the fight, claiming he believes he won the fight against the Ukrainian has caused a steer on social media.
During the post-fight interview, as reported by BBC, Fury started, “I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few of the rounds but I won the majority of them.
“I believe it was one of those decisions in boxing. We both put on a good fight, the best we could do.”
However, his comment has led to fans claiming he did not do enough to be crowned as the winner of the bout.
A fan said, “Fury blaming it on the war, absolutely classless. He got dismantled, end of. Usyk is a phenomenal tactician and deserves it.”
Another fan commented, “He’d say black was white. Fury was battered, he couldn’t cope with Usyk. He also looked flabby and out of breath and all the showboating was to distract from the fact he was constantly under the cosh. Round 9 was a KO, he was counted out.”
One fan replied to Fury, “He's fortunate that he got the Ngannou result, so he needs to count his lucky stars that he got beaten by an actual boxer.”
The fourth person said, “No chance. The referee could have called it then and there in the ninth and there would have been no complaint. Got a lot of time for Tyson but to say the judges backed the country at war is ridiculous and devalues what was an incredible fight.”
