Head coach Benjamin Musa has expressed his confidence in the team noting that they are doing well in training. He added that the continental event is important for them as they will be able to gauge their progress as they eye the Paris Olympics in 2024.
“This event is very important for us since we shall be able to know where we stand at the moment as we seek to qualify for the Olympics. We shall also know the areas to improve on,” Musa told KBC Sport.
The team will also be hoping to go one step better as they seek to improve on their performance last year. During last year’s edition that was held in Maputo Mozambique, Team Kenya managed to bag four medals, three silvers, and one bronze.
They finished 12th in the medal table as Algeria carried the day after bagging 15 medals, four golds, five silvers, and six bronzes.
