Seven months after giving Fury his first professional defeat, the Ukrainian won the bout 116–112 thanks to the score from the three judges.

Usyk had defeated the unbeaten Fury by split decision in their previous bout earlier this year, and he triumphed once more in the rematch after landing some powerful strikes.

There was little doubt about the outcome, as Fury was penalized for not taking advantage of his more dominant rounds.

Fury delivered the first decisive shot with a superb uppercut that momentarily staggered Usyk, ending the first three rounds in which there was no distance between them.

Fury was four stone heavier at a career-record 281lbs for the rematch that ook place 217 days after the first fight.

Fury established his size advantage at first by rocking the champion backward at the start of the fight.

However, the same strategies that won May's fight were still effective, with Usyk disarming Fury with a body shot to expose him and causing him to stumble in the middle rounds.

Fury delivered some of his crisper jabs, but Usyk was still able to find his rhythm despite the swelling over his left eye.

Usyk had all the urgency heading into the latter phases and it showed on the judges' score card.
