Rival Mike Tyson sent a message that said, "Condolences to George Foreman’s family. His contribution to boxing and beyond will never be forgotten."

Foreman who was born on January 10, 1949, in Marshall, Texas at 19 won a gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.
