The 'Angel of War' will face Argentina's Edith Soledad Matthysse for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) super lightweight women's world title.
Boxgals Promotions have confirmed that the much-anticipated Sarah Achieng vs Edith Soledad Matthysse fight has been moved from Mombasa to Nairobi.
The Commonwealth champion Achieng, who saw her dream for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) super lightweight title cut short by a visa hitch in February, will now be taking a shot at the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Women's World Super lightweight title.
Boxgals Promotions announced on Thursday that the 34 -year-old would take on the experienced Argentinian at Charter Hall in Nairobi on June 10.
Despite the change of venue, Achieng said that she is ready to fight for the World title anywhere.
"I can fight anywhere but of course Nairobi is my homeground, so I expect all my fans to attend the fight to watch me winning the world title," he said.

BOXING Sarah Achieng set to face Edith Matthysse in title fight
The 10-round World Boxing Foundation (WBF) super lightweight women's world title fight will be held in Mombasa.
The fight was originally scheduled for May 12 at Mombasa's Makande KPA Hall.
The 34-year-old Achieng captured the Commonwealth super lightweight title in 2021 with a unanimous points win over Malawi's Anisha Basheel at Nairobi's Charter Hall.

She defended the title last December by stopping Zimbabwe's Chiedza Homakoma in the 8th round in Nairobi.
Her opponent Matthysse held the World Boxing Association (WBA) female title from 2013-2016 and World Boxing Council (WBC) from 2015-2016.
