In an upcoming showdown at the MTN Arena Lugogo on June 3, Lukanga Boxing Club's pugilist, Sadat Kilwana, has made a firm commitment to tame Lawrence Kayiwa of Kira Boxing Club in the Uganda Boxing Federation's Champions League main fight.
This highly anticipated bout will serve as the highlight of the third fight night of the league's ongoing second season.
Kilwana, unfazed by Kayiwa's intimidating theatrics, is determined to overcome his opponent's mind games.
Kayiwa, known for his wild animal antics, often adopts the persona of an aggressive beast, donning chains around his neck and bellowing in anger like a raging mountain gorilla.
However, Kilwana remains resolute in his conviction that he will get the victory over Kayiwa.
"Kayiwa shouldn't have chosen boxing because I'm going to make him regret it," he said.
Meanwhile, Kayiwa, who boasts multiple knockout victories from the previous edition of the league, is eager to resume his winning streak against Kilwana.
Confident in his abilities, Kayiwa declared: "I will put Sadat to sleep. This is going to be more of the same [from the previous edition]."
The boxing league encompasses bouts across various weight divisions, catering to male and female participants ranging from junior to elite ranks.
The Uganda Boxing Federation also announced its promise to award championship belts at the grand finale scheduled for December.
