Hearn explains why Tyson Fury should step up and fight Anthony Joshua next.
English professional boxer Tyson Fury is without an opponent after the collapse of the undisputed fight.
Fury the WBC heavyweight champion was unable to reach an agreement with Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO titles in the same division.
The fight between Fury and Usyk will have produced the first undisputed heavyweight champion since former boxing great Lennox Lewis.
Following the collapse of the undisputed fight, Usyk has stated he intends to take on British boxer DDaniel Dubois the WBA heavyweight mandatory.
Fury's manager Frank Warren of Queensbury Promotions booked the 80,000-capacity Wembley Stadium in London for the undisputed fight.
There are now reports that Fury wants to set up a fight against Andy Ruiz the first Mexican heavyweight boxing champion.
Hearn on Fury vs Joshua
British sports promoter and chairman of Matchroom Sports Edward Hearn has provided an alternative to Fury following the collapse of the undisputed fight.
Hearn who manages English professional boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua has offered his client as a remedy to Fury's problem.
Joshua is set to return to the ring after a seven-month break against American professional boxer Jermaine Franklin.
Hearn has now suggested that should Joshua be victorious against Franklin, he is proposing a fight against Fury that will be the biggest British heavyweight boxing showdown.
Speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, He said: “If this fight doesn’t get made, I want to sit down with George Warren, and God willing AJ comes through against Jermaine Franklin, and makes it through that fight. AJ against Tyson Fury, why not?
“It’s financially a much bigger fight for Tyson Fury. It’s the biggest fight in world boxing by miles. If that fight doesn’t get made, I’ll be kicking and screaming for this.
