Back from a suspension, see why Jarrell Miller wants Anthony Joshua in the ring.

British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua has been called out to fulfill the promise he made in 2019.

American professional boxer Jarrell Miller was supposed to fight Joshua at Madison Square Garden on June 1, 2019.

Miller failed a drug test and his hopes of facing Joshua in New York were crushed.

On short notice, Andy Ruiz stepped up to take the fight and recorded a shock victory to become the first Mexican heavyweight champion.

The history between Anthony Joshua and Jarrell Miller

Miller has won all 27 of his professional heavyweight fights without losing, although he is best known for his behavior outside of the ring.

Joshua, a British superstar and at the time unified heavyweight champion, was to be introduced to American fans by the man known as "Big Baby."

The marketing for the fight between Joshua and Miller was in overdrive because of some press conference antics and sincere animosity.

When it was discovered that he had failed a drug test, the greatest payout of his career and any fan support were immediately thrown out the window.

Miller's pre-Joshua testing for human growth hormone, a medication to increase red blood cell count that could prevent gassing (EPO), and the fat-reducing GW1516 all came back negative.

He was scheduled to return to the ring in July 2020 after serving his WBA suspension.

He failed a test once again less than two weeks before the bout, according to the news. Miller was this time prohibited by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

The Brooklyn native made a comeback to the ring last year and has since collected three victories.

Jarrell Miller on why he wants to still fight Anthony Joshua

Miller clarified why, despite serving a two-year suspension, he still intends to challenge Joshua.

Miller disclosed his expected earnings to Boxing with Chris Mannix. and the financial incentive for the conflict.

He said, “My fight with AJ was a guaranteed ten million, the next fight was a guaranteed 17 million plus pay-per-view buys.

“People don’t have the right information. If you don’t get ahead of certain things in the media, a picture’s already painted of you.

"I wasn’t fortunate enough to have the promoter that I was with to step up and try to clear my name. There’s evidence to clear me, they don’t give a f**k.”

Eddie Hearn on Anthony Joshua's drug test result

Eddie Hearn recently blasted rumors that Joshua failed a drug test following his recent victory against Jermaine Franklin.

He said, “It’s frightening that some random account can just post some absolute b****cks and before you know it I’m getting calls from journos. I’m like, ‘Are you f***ing serious?’ Absolute total b****cks.”

Anthony Joshua's primary goal right now, according to Hearn, is to book a massive fight with either Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder in the Middle East for December.

After that, Joshua will decide whether or not to fight again in July, possibly against Dillian Whyte.

Joshua after the fight against Franklin recently stated he intends to take a break until December.

However, if Hearn believes a fight in July or August is possible Miller will be interested.
