Uganda, playing at their third Castle Lite Series, lost four T02I games against the hosts amidst player injuries (Juma Miyaji), travel issues (Riazat Shar) and a family bereavement (Henry Ssenyondo and Simon Ssesazi).

The Cricket Cranes' troubles in Namibia have been well-documented since they arrived in Southern Africa.

Uganda, playing at their third Castle Lite Series, lost four T02I games against the hosts amidst player injuries (Juma Miyaji), travel issues (Riazat Shar) and a family bereavement (Henry Ssenyondo and Simon Ssesazi).

Head coach Laurence Mahatlane states that the losses don't tell the entire story save for one.

"Disappointed with the result (0-4), but a closer assessment for me save for the game where we were blown out shows we're competitive in the other three," Mahatlane stated

"The unfortunate circumstances disrupted us, and we can't avoid death and injuries."

"But overall, I am happy with what we came looking for, to gain experience and confidence and give players more opportunities in different conditions," Mahatlane added.

The former U-19 South African Cricket team head coach added that players like Robinson Obuya, Pascal Murungi, and Cyrus Kakuru have all gained experience.

Not to talk of Dinesh Nakrani, Ramjani Alpesh and Ronald Lutaaya, who each notched a half-century.

"As a group, we have learnt a lot more; I am pleased to see a lot of growth within the boys."

Robinson Obuya's innings in the last game were great, same for Pascal Murungi, Cyrus Kakuru and Dinesh Nakrani.

"The fact that Ronald Lutaaya and Alpesh each managed to get a half-century shows some small victories, but we now know what we need to work on."

Mahatlane added: "And make sure as a group we get together and grow from this, and hopefully, the growth will be seen as we continue from here in preparation for the WC qualifiers in November."

Laurence Mahtlane's side takes a break on Monday before returning to action on Tuesday to face Namibia in two ODI games before returning to Uganda.
