The Nigeria Female Cricket team started the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Women’s Invitational Tournament with a win against Sierra Leone.
The Third edition of the five countries tournament started on Monday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Cricket Oval, Lagos.
Nigeria won with six wickets, and the team processed 67 runs from 14 overs.
Sierra Leone won the toss and choose to bat first.
16-year-old Lucky Piety won Player of the Match
A 16-year-old Lucky Piety has won the player of the match after her impressive performance in the game.
Piety had 22 runs from 24 balls and two Wickets and paired Agatha Uadiale to record the victory for the Female Yellow Greens.

Piety disclosed that she is positive going into the game and not pressure despite being herd debut for the Female national team.
She said, "This is a good start and I feel excited because this is the first Player of the Match for the women's team, I wasn't in any way pressured because before going I have put everything aside and went positive to try with everything I can do and it went well.

She added that their is no team in the competition that is a threat that they are all equal.
"Rwanda is not a threat by the grace of God we will overcome them we see them the way we see other teams.
Nigeria will play Cameroun on Tuesday for their second game.
