Nigeria won the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Women’s Invitational tournament in Lagos.
The Captain of Nigeria’s senior female cricket team, Blessing Etim, has won the title of best fielder in the recently finished Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Women's T20i competition in Lagos.
Pulse Sports reports that Nigeria won the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Women’s Invitational tournament in Lagos.
Nigeria defeated the defending champions, Rwanda, on Sunday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Cricket Oval.
The Women's T20i Invitational tournament is yearly held by the NCF to honor International Women's Day. This year's edition included hosts Nigeria, as well as Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda.

18 players are on this first phase of the contract, while the second phase will bring 14 additional players by July 1.
The Yellow Female Greens won the toss and opted to bat, winning by 9 runs.
Etim was named the best fielder following her outstanding displays in preventing the runs against Nigeria throughout the tournament.
The most capped Nigerian feamle Cricket player made four appearances for Nigeria, iincludes an outstanding batting display in the tournament against Rwanda in the final. She had 68 runs from the tournament.
Henriette Inshimwe won the tournament's Most Valuable Player title, and her sister Gisele Inshimwe was voted best hitter, giving Rwanda two individual awards.

Alice Fillie of Sierra Leone won the best bowler award, and Cameroon, who finished in fourth place, received the Spirit of Cricket Award.
The Nigeria Cricket Federation organizes the Women’s T20i Invitational tournament annually to commemorate the International Women’s Day celebration, and this year’s edition featured Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda, and hosts Nigeria.
Nigeria won three out of four games
Nigeria won three out of four games in the competition, they defeated Sierra Leone in the first game and won the second against Cameroun and Ghana.
The only defeat in the competition was the last game against Rwanda on Saturday before beating the same team on Sunday to emerge champions.
