Nigeria is preparing for the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup Africa Division One qualifiers in Kigali.
The president of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Uyi Akpata, has reaffirmed the commitment to women's cricket development, building on recent successes at both junior and senior levels.
The NCF aims to create a formidable female national team for the country as the Nigeria-Ghana U-19 Women Series, a maiden age-grade international tournament featuring Nigeria, Ghana, the Southwest female team, and a selected national women's team.
The event serves as preparation for the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup Africa Division One Qualifiers in Kigali.

Akpata emphasised the strategic importance of gender equality in the NCF's developmental efforts.
"Apart from getting the women's U-19 team in shape for the Division One World Cup Qualifier starting September 22 in Kigali, this event allows us to test the depth of our women's development.
