Call of Duty's free-to-play experience this weekend will feature a limited selection of multiplayer and special ops experiences, as per Infinity Ward.
Infinity Ward have confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be free-to-play between Thursday, March 16 and Monday, March 20 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The free-to-play experience will bring limited-time access featuring a selection of multiplayer and special ops experiences for non-game owners.
Players will be able to try out a limited section of the game's multiplayer mode, following the launch of Season 2 Reloaded.
Via the Call of Duty page on Twitter, a statement in a post read: '#MW2 Multiplayer Free Access is coming 3/16-3/20 🗓️ Deploy to the new Season 02 Reloaded Multiplayer Map Himmelmatt Expo and other locales.'
However, the Campaign mode will not be accessible. But players can experience other game modes and compete against friends in action-packed multiplayer encounters.
Free-to-play users will also have access to the first raid episode released last December, which requires a pre-made squad of three players with no matchmaking.

The new multiplayer map Himmelmatt Expo will also be available, where operators will be able to navigate through its main event and surrounding amenities, including restaurants, bars, and saunas.

Players can also expect a variety of game modes like Domination and Team Deathmatch, the two core modes of the game's multiplayer.
The Infected mode and the Gun Game mode will also be available as part of the free trial this weekend.
Apart from Himmelmatt Expo, the free access content includes core maps, including Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, Shipment, and Dome.

The two battle modes, Ground War and Invasion, will also be unlocked alongside the Santa Sena battle map.

- Kill Confirmed
- Gun Game
- Infected
- One in the Chamber
- All or Nothing
Following the launch of Season 2 Reloaded, players will have access to a variety of new content, including the Himmelmatt Expo map, Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle, and the second raid episode where they will take control of Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz.
