Sports Interactive have officially confirmed the launch date of FM23 on PlayStation 5.
Football Manager 2023 is finally arriving on the PlayStation platform in a couple of days.
‘We are delighted to confirm that Football Manager 2023 Console will launch on PlayStation 5 on February 1st.’ a statement read.
Both SEGA and Sports Interactive have worked closely with Sony to overcome unforeseen complications which arose during the submissions and approvals process, with a view to ending the frustration and uncertainty surrounding the release.
The statement confirmed FM23 Console will launch with a 20% discount for all PlayStation Plus subscribers which will be redeemable until Tuesday, 14 February, at 15:00 GMT.
The discount total is consistent with the pre-order incentive that ran prior to the earlier announcement of the delayed release on the platform.
Although it’s unusual for an FM launch during a transfer window, Sports Interactive confirmed their priority after the postponement of the initial launch was to get the game to fans as soon as possible due to the high demand from PlayStation 5 users.
Sports Interactive also confirmed that there will be a free transfer update to all PlayStation 5 players in the coming weeks once all global transfer windows are closed this January allowing users to kick-start a new career, and begin their path to football glory.
