Negotiations between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona for a possible exchange between Memphis Depay and Yannick Carrasco are already underway.
Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are currently working on a swap-deal that will see Memphis Depay and Yannick Carrasco switch clubs.
Barcelona are open to letting Memphis Depay leave with reports claiming the 28-year-old Dutchman is willing to leave the Spotify Camp Nou this January, having found first-team opportunities hard to come by under Xavi.
Carrasco on the other hand is reportedly sold on the idea of making a switch to the Catalan giants this summer amid his frustrations in Madrid.
However, reports have suggested Atletico are making the operation very difficult because Carrasco is an important player for coach Diego Simeone and they feel a swap for Memphis, who is out of contract in June, would mean parting with a footballer for less than his real value.
Atletico name asking-price for Yannick Carrasco
The Belgian international has registered 6 goal contributions in 23 appearances for Diego Simeone's side this season and has been a mainstay for the 2021 Spanish champions since his arrival at the club from Monaco in 2015.
However, Atletico are reportedly asking Barcelona to pay €60m for Yannick Carrasco, as per Relevo's Matteo Moretto.
The Rojiblancos consider the 29-year-old Belgian winger a better player than Raphinha and Ferran Torres.
Atletico would actually be willing to sell the winger if Barca paid the fee.
