Wikki Tourists had a terrible time during the first stanza of the NPFL
Ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the management of Wikki Tourists has appointed Abdullahi Adamu as the new head coach of the club.
Adamu served as the club's chief coach before he was promoted to the capacity of the first team coach to take the team away from the relegation zone.
The chairman of the club, Balarabe Yusuf Douglas, presented a letter of appointment to Adamu at the secretariat of the club.
This comes after the resignation of former manager Kabiru Suleiman Dogo in January 2023.
Adamu joined the club during the 2019/20 NPFL season as acting head coach and later moved to chief coach when Kabiru Dogo was appointed as the official head coach.
Adamu holds a UEFA B license and has coached Green Beret Zaria and Katsina United.

The Giant Elephants finished the first stanza 9th in Group B in the abridged league.
The club finished with eight points from nine games and will start the second stanza with a tie against the Sunshine Stars at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
