Erik ten Hag has offered a hint about the possibility of Jadon Sancho being utilised differently by Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho is back in the Manchester United team after a period of personal struggles as well as injury. Since his return, he has been used in a variety of positions by Ten Hag.
New role for Jadon Sancho
In Manchester United's most recent outing, which was a disappointing 0-0 draw with Southampton, the former Borussia Dortmund winger found himself deployed in the number 10 role.
'Referee influenced the game' — Erik ten Hag on the draw against Southampton
Speaking to the press after the game, Ten Hag admitted he was impressed by Sancho's performance in that position.
He said:
''I think he did quite well as a number 10. Like he did against Barcelona and Leicester. He was really decisive against Leicester and also today with some really good actions.
"One time, he was really close to the goal with a run at the defending line and a cross to Bruno almost came there. He did a good job.
Big picture for Sancho
Sancho endured a disappointing start to the season but looks to be back in shape and will be counted on to play a crucial role as the season enters its defining stages, both domestically and in Europe.
