Eden Hazard reveals how badly his relationship with Ancelotti has
Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has spoken about his strained relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti amid his ongoing struggles for game time.
Hazard’s current struggles with game time
Hazard has only played seven matches for Real Madrid in all competitions this season, managing only three stats and never completing any games.
In total, Hazard has managed only 296 minutes for Real Madrid in all competitions, with only 98 coming in LaLiga.
Injuries have not played as big a role in Hazard missing games for Real Madrid as most people would think this season, as the Belgian winger has missed only six games through injury while being on the bench on 27 occasions.
Hazard’s lack of game time has naturally caused friction between the Belgian and Ancelotti, and even though he still believes that he will play for Real Madrid at some point, he has revealed that his relationship with his manager is strained.
Hazard still has respect for Ancelotti but does not speak to him
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Liverpool, Hazard mentioned that although he still respects Ancelotti, the pair do not speak anymore.
He said, “There is respect between us. But I'm not going to say that we talk to each other because we don't talk to each other.
“But there will always be respect. Even if tomorrow, he doesn't make me play anymore.”
Hazard still has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024 and hopes to continue at the club at least until his contract expires, but if Ancelotti stays on with Los Blancos, it is going to be extremely hard for Hazard.
