- The second half begins and this tie is pretty much done and dusted as a contest, with the home team up by 3 unreplied goals and 4-1 on aggregate.

- Manchester City lead 3-0 with the last real action of the first half with what was by no means a vintage City goal but I'm sure Pep Guardiola does not mind and neither does Haaland who completes a first-half hattrick.
- 45' GOALLLLL!!! Haaland hattrick!!! He is inevitable!!!
- The game progresses at a good pace and despite Erling Haaland's two goals, referee Slavko Vincic is competing with him for the limelight in this game.
- Is Ederson lucky to still be on the pitch? he clattered into the RB Leipzig player and escaped without even giving away a free kick or picking up a booking.
- 24' GOALLLLL!!! 2-0 Manchester City!!! it's Haaland again!!! this time he pounced on a rebound from De Bruyne's long-range shot to head in his second in two minutes.
- 22' The penalty is awarded after Benjamin Henrichs is adjudged to have handled the ball and Haaland converts from the spot. CITY LEAD 1-0.
- WAITTTTTTTTTT!!! VAR calls centre referee Slavko Vincic's attention to a potential handball in the aforementioned goal-mouth scramble.
- 18' A goal-mouth scramble ensues in the RB Leipzig box involving Haaland and multiple players but Leipzig somehow escape without conceding. Still goalless at the Etihad.
- 10' The first real chance of this game so far fell to the one man they would want it to, Erling Haaland but the usually prolific Norwegian striker could not beat Blaswich in the Leipzig goal and finish up Nathan Ake's delightful pass.
