Brighton's World Cup winning midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly interested in securing a lucrative move away from Brighton at the end of the season
Alexis Mac Allister has become one of Brighton's most important players over the last 12 months with his performances improving almost on a weekly basis.
Mac Allister interested in move away from Brighton
He signed a new contract on improved terms before the commencement of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he shone for eventual winners, Argentina.
That deal runs until 2025 and Brighton retain the option to extend by a further 12 months.
The 24-year-old was hugely important for Argentina in Qatar, starting six out of seven games en route to lifting the World Cup trophy.
According to 90min, Mac Allister is eyeing up a potential move away from Brighton as he believes the time has come for him to take the next steps in his career.
There is no shortage of interest in Mac Allister who possesses all the qualities of a modern-day attacking midfielder while being equally comfortable playing in a deeper midfield role.
Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham are all reportedly monitoring his situation and there remains the possibility of being reunited with former boss Graham Potter and Argentine teammate, Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea.
