Barcelona welcomed star midfielder Pedri back to first-team training ahead of the showdown against Real Madrid in LaLiga.
Pedri picked up a thigh injury in the Europa League first-leg tie against Manchester United last month and has been out of action since.
He missed the second leg against the Red Devils, as well as the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid. He was also unavailable for the league games against Almeria, Valencia, and Athletic Bilbao.
Pedri set to return for Barcelona against Real Madrid
Barcelona face Real Madrid in El Clasico this weekend with a chance to open a 12-point advantage over their eternal rivals.
Ahead of the showdown at Camp Nou on Sunday, Pedri has been given the green light to make a comeback after taking part in first-team training on Monday.
According to AS, Pedri could be in the starting lineup for the Clasico and will be expected to play a significant role.
Barcelona sit top of the La Liga table ahead of Sunday’s game, nine points clear of Real in second place Sunday’s match against Los Blancos is Barca’s final game before the international break.
Xavi’s side will then return to action looking to put further daylight between themselves and Realwhen they face struggling Elche on April 1.
