Chelsea aim to continue their recent good form against a stubborn Everton side and Arsenal will need to shake off their midweek disappointment to continue their march towards glory.
Chelsea vs Everton
Graham Potter seems to be turning the tide at Stamford Bridge and getting the fans back on side. Chelsea have now won their last three games and have looked good doing it too.
After a torrid festive period that spilled into the first two months of the new year, Chelsea are starting to look like a team that can really perform at a high level.
The return of Raheem Sterling has certainly played a vital part in the sudden upturn in fortunes but as a collective the team is playing much better football.
Everton lay in wait and if there is one team that can spoil a party, it is Sean Dyche’s Everton.
Buoyed by an efficient home win against Brentford last time around, they will surely be aiming to spoil the party for Graham Potter and his Blues.
Southampton vs Tottenham
Southampton will start the weekend in 20th, bottom of the league and it is starting to look ominous for the Saints.
They face a Tottenham team that can blow hot and cold but are still extremely dangerous.
The Saints have struggled for goals this season but if they can find a way to get Paul Onuachu firing then maybe they have a chance of getting a result against Spurs and most importantly, beating the drop.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
The narrative heading into this game was supposed to be Patric Vieira needing a result to save his job against a familiar team but we have been robbed of that subplot by the Crystal Palace board who decided to relieve Vieira of his duties.
New manager bounce is a thing but Palace have not won a game this year and have struggled badly for goals.
Arsenal got knocked out of the Europa League, losing to Sporting on penalties and it remains to be seen what psychological effect that would have on Mikel Arteta’s men.
