Jose Mourinho and Lazio's president Claudio Lotito were involved in an altercation after the Rome derby
AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is set to face another investigation after he was involved in a dressing room bust-up with Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
Lazio and Roma play out feisty derby
During Roma’s 1-0 loss to Lazio in Serie A, Mourinho did not let the fact that he was serving the second match of his two-match ban for an altercation with referee Marco Serra stop him from getting into another squabble.
According to reports, the problems started on the pitch as an ill-tempered Rome derby ended with Adam Marusic and Brian Critante getting sent off for violent conduct.
The fracas continued into the dressing room as Lazio defender Alessio Romagnoli provoked the Roma squad causing a spat between him and Roma midfielder Gianluca Mancini which President Lotito tried to break up.
Mourinho clashes with Lazio president
It was into this scene that Mourinho walked, before allegedly saying to the Lazio president "What the f*** are you looking at?".
Incensed, Lotito replied, “I am the Lazio President. Who are you? This is my home and you shouldn’t even be here.”
Reports from Il Messagerro suggest that Mourinho and Lotito will now be investigated for the incident, with possible unspecified punishments.
Lazio completed the double over their neighbours Roma for the first time since the 2011/2012 season and leaves in second place in Serie A, while Roma’s third loss in five league games leaves them outside the UEFA Champions League qualifying spots for next season.
