Sporting Lagos defeated Smart City in the first Lagos derby of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season at the Mobalaji Jhonson Arena, Onikan.
Pulse Sports reports that five clubs are based in Lagos for the Nigeria Second Division League; the clubs include Smart City, Sporting Lagos, Ikorodu City, Joy Cometh, and Madiba.

The Lagos affair clash witnessed the visitors putting pressure on the hosts as Taro Godswill picked up a loose ball in the Smart City box and powered home a left-footed drive to score the first goal.
The hosts will respond, coming to life with chances of their own, but Sporting held on to lead at the break.

It was victory day in Lagos on Tuesday as Madiba thrashed NNL landlord, Ekiti United 3-0 in the first game at the Mobolaji Jhonson Arena, Onikan.
The Nationwide League One champion took the lead on an Ewodage Abubakar header from a Ndubisi Anthony free kick in the 30th minute.
Solomon Aliu converted from the spot to double the lead for Oshodi Boys in the 78th minute.
Egbonwon Harrison sealed the victory for Madiba in the few minutes of the game.
For Ikorodu City, the Oga boys defeated Ebedei FC 3-1 with their captain Tosin at the double.
Olubode Hassan's excellent opener set the ball rolling at the arena before Tosin scored two in either half to give the Oga Boys the victory.
Joy Cometh suffered a defeat at home when they host Ijebu United.
