N'Golo Kante close to new Chelsea deal
Regardless of his unavailability due to injury, Kante remains one of the most important players in the Chelsea team.
Several clubs including, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, are believed to hold a significant interest in the 31-year-old but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kante is closing in on a contract extension at Chelsea.
“N’Golo Kanté was back on the pitch for the friendly game earlier this week and the negotiations over a new contract are still ongoing and progressing well to final stages. Discussions on last details as new deal could be valid for next two years plus one season club option.”
Chelsea boss Graham Potter has tried several midfield combinations in Kante’s absence and they have lacked the dynamism and aggression that the Frenchman provides.
