Bayern Munich were utterly ruthless in reclaiming the top of the Bundesliga, thumping Dortmund.
The De Klassiker was a one-sided affair, with Bayern soundly beating their strongest rival, Dortmund, 4-2.
Dortmund were league leaders going into the game and have been on top form; however, they fell like a pack of cards against a Bayern side buoyed by a new manager, Thomas Tuchel.
How it happened
Dortmund started decently, and the game had an even tone until Gregor Kobel gifted Bayern the lead when he failed to intercept a through-ball from deep which slipped between his legs and into the goal.
It became two only five minutes later. Matthijs De Ligt rose highest to head the ball towards Thomas Muller's path, who bundled it into the net.
The Germany international got his brace five minutes after his first, after another Kobel error. The Dortmund shot-stopper parried a Leroy Sane shot onto the path of Muller, who graciously accepted the invitation to put the visitors 3-0 ahead.

Bayern continued from where they left off after returning from the break, making it four in the 51st minute after Sane played an incisive ball to Kingsley Coman who stretched to Poke it in.
Being four goals up caused Bayern to rest on their oars, and Borussia Dortmund pulled one back via the penalty spot.
Donyell Malen also grabbed another in the 94th minute, but it was too late to start a comeback.
The Bavarians reclaimed the Bundesliga's top spot, leap-frogging Dortmund.
