The chaotic situation was witnessed during a match against Fulham at Old Trafford last month.
Manchester United have been fined £65,000 for their players surrounding referee Chris Kavanagh during their FA Cup clash with Fulham.
The United players surrounded the official as they demanded a penalty after Jadon Sancho’s shot had been handled by Willian.
Fulham had taken the lead in the fifth minute when Aleksandar Mitrovic scored to set up a tense encounter.
Although no United player was punished at that time, the Red Devils were later charged for the manner in which they asked Kavanagh to award a penalty.
After the hearing, the FA has now fined the club for failing to control their players during the melee.
