Tottenham have announced that Fabio Paratici has resigned from his role as director of football with immediate effect.
The news of Fabio Paratici’s resignation comes in the wake of his rejected appeal against the global ban from football for involvement in the alleged inflation of capital gains from player sales.
Paratici leaves Tottenham
Tottenham released a statement on Friday stating that the 50-year-old “has consequently taken the decision to resign from his position at the club with immediate effect to focus on his legal position in respect of the FIGC and FIFA rulings.”
Chairman Daniel Levy added:
“This has been a stressful time for Fabio and his family. We wanted to ensure that we allowed due process to be followed. Fabio is a man who lives and breathes football and we wish him well.
“As outlined in our year-end results, we started several months ago to restructure our football operations and last week announced the appointment of Scott Munn as Chief Football Officer to head up all the departments. We shall continue to strengthen our football functions over the coming months.”

He is one of 11 former Juventus executives who were banned from Italian football after the FIGC used new evidence gathered in a separate criminal investigation, to reopen a case it lost last year.
Paratici departs after spending 22 months at Tottenham and facilitating the hiring of former manager Antonio Conte as well as several other signings.
